What Makeup Was Used Alice Through The Looking Glass Hatter Lipstick
The new, express edition Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Lipstick ($18) are coming at you May 2d. V shades inspired Disney'due south new Alice Through the Looking Glass motion picture, and the characters in it volition launch in this collection in some wild and mad shades.
I admit not all of these were wearable for me but if you're a fond fan of unique shades of lipstick you lot'll be excited nigh this launch for sure.
One of my favorite lipstick releases from Urban Decay in recent months would be the Gwen Stefani Lipsticks. Those were pretty amazingly formulated! Not quote the Revolution Lipstick formula we know and dearest but something a little different and just every bit neat.
I think you lot'll come across that with the Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Lipsticks too. These aren't a formula yous've seen from Urban Decay's Revolution Lipstick nor are they i I'd associate they Gwen's release either then the formula is dissimilar and new.
Each of these comes housed in special edition packaging which features a trippy kaleidoscope pattern that matches the one we've seen on the Urban Disuse Alice Through the Looking Glass Eyeshadow Palette. Similar Gwen's Lipsticks, this packaging is made from a very light, plastic then y'all aren't getting the same weightiness that we've seen from Revolution Lipstick.
In that location five shades in this release each of which represents a graphic symbol from the film and they are:
- Alice (sheer nude with pink shift)
- Mad Hatter (bright imperial shimmer)
- Mirana (matte berry with tonal shimmer)
- Iracebeth (bright reddish matte)
- Time (gunmetal-navy with silvery shimmer)
Urban Disuse Alice Through the Looking Glass Lipstick Swatches (Time, Alice, Iracebeth, Mad Hatter, Mirana)
Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Lipstick (Alice)
Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Lipstick (Fourth dimension)
Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Lipstick (Iracebeth)
Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Lipstick (Mad Hatter)
Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Lipstick (Mirana)
Out of the five shades, I was almost comfortable wearing Alice and Iracebeth. The other shades, well, not quite my affair only that doesn't hateful others won't but adore them. I meet Mad Hatter being popular with darker skin tones every bit royal always rocks on such a tone in my opinion.
One of the more than interesting aspects of these shades would be the fact that a majority of them are so sheer they really are in fact habiliment. For example, blue lipstick isn't my thing only Fourth dimension is a sheerer formula that's very workable. Y'all will be disappointed though if you expected total, opaque color as these exercise need a good deal of layering and building for the best color intensity.
The formula does vary from shade to shade in my opinion as practise the finishes. Mad Hatter and Fourth dimension were near akin in consistency with a thinner texture that had a footling bit of grittiness due to the chunkier shimmer. They do apply a piffling patchy, so you lot have to go over the colour a trivial bit for the smoothest terminate. The colors do show signs of feathering effectually my lower lip, and they fade rather desperately during the wear with colour migrating towards the center of my lips. They vesture for effectually three hours and during that time they practice feel a scrap dry on my lips. These too clothing abroad in an unflattering wear since they leave a ton of shimmer behind. Mirana is a piffling thicker than Mad Hatter and Time, simply I had mostly the same experience with the wear of it. All three shades are pretty sheer so the initial awarding you'll exist able to see some of your natural lip colour but after iii to 4 passes you'll go better pay off and intensity.
Alice is the sheerest shade of all five shades. This has a thin slightly balmy consistency with a wear of around four hours that's a bit drying through the habiliment merely there was no migration of feathering issues. This is ane of my favorite shades from this release because it reflects so pretty in a diverseness of different lights. In natural light, it has a beautiful pink shift that compliments that golden nude of the base shade.
Iracebeth is another of my favorite shades. This is a bright, matte ruby-red with bluish undertones. This formula is a flake more drying in comparison to Urban Decay's Matte Revolution Lipstick formula. The colour is very intense and the most pigmented shade in the collection. I had no bug with migration or feathering, and the finish was very smooth on my drier lips with a vesture of five hours.
I detected no fragrance or flavor in whatsoever of the colors.
The Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Lipstick Collection didn't have the all-time formula I've tried from the brand, but some of these shades will show collectible pieces for fans of Wonderland, Disney, or Urban Disuse in general. Non everyone will migrate to some of the more wilder shades only this is a mixed batch of colors, and at that place'south a little something in hither for everyone.
Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Lipstick will be available at urbandecay.com on 5/2 and at Ulta.com on four/28, and Sephora.com on v/5.
